Beliefs
The Bible
It is God’s Word, infallible and invested with His authority for salvation and Christian living (2 Timothy 3:15-17).
God
That there is only One God is the greatest commandment of the Old and New Testament (Deut. 6:4; Mark 12:29). This One God is a Spirit (John 4:24; 2 Cor. 3:17). He has revealed Himself in various ways to humankind throughout time (Hebrews 1:1). The primary ways has been as our Father in creation, in the Son for redemption and as Holy Ghost giving spiritual life unto the believer today. The scripture declares these “three are one” (1 John 5:7).
Jesus Christ
God was in Christ reconciling the world unto Himself (2 Cor. 5:19). Jesus Christ paid the price for our sins and paved the way so we could be right in standing and fellowship with God (Titus 2:14; John 14:6). All that God is was revealed in the person of Jesus Christ (Colossians 2:9-10)
The Saving Name
Jesus is the only name whereby we can obtain salvation (Acts 4:12). It is a name above every name and only through the name of Jesus can remission of sins be received (Mt. 1:21; Lk 24:47; Acts 10:43; Phil 2:9-11).
Salvation
Salvation is a gift of grace from God that we must receive by faith (Ephesians 2:8).
We Preach
“Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost” (Acts 2:38). This was how the original Apostles proclaimed we could apply the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ to our lives to be born again of water and spirit (John 3:5; Acts 2:37-38). This was “the faith which was once delivered unto the saints” (Jude 3; Galatians 1:8-9).
Christian Living
Christian believers should be pursuers of peace and holiness before God and men (Hebrews 12:14; Titus 2:11-13).
The Church
Church literally means called out. The church is called out of the world to walk with God. It is comprised of those who are born again and walking in fellowship with Jesus Christ (John 3:5; Acts 2:38, 47; 1 John 1:5-7).
Gifts of the Spirit
God’s power is still active in the church today and continuing to confirm His Word, His Will and the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ (Mark 16:20; Hebrews 13:8; 1 Corinthians 2:4). The miraculous is still happening today!
The Future
Jesus Christ is coming again to catch away His church. This is the blessed hope we look for (Titus 2:13). In the end there will be the final resurrection and the final judgment. The righteous will inherit eternal life and the unrighteous eternal death (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Revelation 20:11-15).
